Window & Glass Cleaning in West Baton Rouge

Exterior glass cleaned with purified water, so it dries without the spots the hose leaves behind.

Clean exterior windows on a Louisiana home

Why do my windows spot as soon as they dry?

Because the water you rinsed them with was not clean. Tap water carries dissolved minerals, and when it evaporates off glass those minerals stay behind as spots.

Soap and a garden hose leave the same chalky film every time, no matter how carefully the glass was wiped.

Left long enough, hard-water deposits etch into the glass itself. At that point it is not a cleaning problem any more — the surface is damaged, and the fix is polishing or replacement.

Sprinkler overspray is the usual culprit on ground-floor windows, and it hits the same panes over and over.

We rinse with purified water that has the minerals stripped out. It dries off the glass with nothing left to leave a mark, which is why a professional exterior clean dries clear without anyone hand-drying every pane.

What we do

Exterior window glass, ground floor and upper storeys
Frames, sills and tracks wiped down as we go
Exterior glass doors and storm doors
Outdoor mirrors and glass patio tabletops
Glass railings and pool enclosures
Screens rinsed and reset if you want them done

Exterior only, and why

We clean the outside of the glass. Interior window cleaning is a different job with different risks — furniture, flooring and belongings in the way — and it is not what we do.

If the inside needs doing too, we will tell you honestly rather than quote for something we are not set up for.

Better value with a house wash

Windows get dirty again the moment the siding above them is washed, so doing glass first and siding later is wasted money.

If both need doing, we wash the house first and finish with the glass. Booking them together costs less than two visits and the result lasts longer.

Our process

How we clean exterior glass

Purified water and a soft brush on a pole. No ladders leaning on your gutters, no squeegee marks.

We look at what is on the glass

Ordinary dirt, sprinkler spotting and etched hard-water damage are three different problems. We tell you which one you have before we start.

We brush the glass

A soft water-fed brush lifts dirt off the pane and out of the frame without scratching the surface.

We rinse with purified water

The minerals are filtered out, so the rinse water dries off the glass leaving nothing behind.

We do the frames and sills

Grime collects in the track and along the sill. Cleaning the glass and leaving that is half a job.

We let it dry and check it

Purified water dries clear on its own. We look at the panes afterwards in daylight rather than assuming.

We walk it with you

If a pane is not right, we do it again before we pack up.

Questions people ask

Do you clean the inside of the windows?

No — exterior glass only. Interior work means moving furniture and working over your flooring, and it is not what we are set up for. We would rather say so than take the job and do it badly.

Why do my windows spot when I wash them myself?

Tap water carries dissolved minerals. When it dries on glass the water goes and the minerals stay, which is the spotting. We rinse with purified water that has those minerals filtered out, so there is nothing left behind to mark the pane.

Can you get rid of hard-water stains from sprinklers?

Often, yes — if the deposits are sitting on the surface. Once they have etched into the glass itself it is physical damage rather than dirt, and no cleaning removes it. We will tell you which one you are looking at rather than take money for a job that cannot work.

Should I have the house washed at the same time?

If both need doing, yes, and in that order. Washing siding above clean glass dirties it again immediately. Together it is one visit and less money than two.
