Soft Washing in West Baton Rouge

Siding, stucco and screens need a gentler approach — low pressure and the right solution, not brute force.

Low-pressure washing of an exterior surface

Will pressure washing damage my siding?

It can, and this is the right thing to worry about. Vinyl siding, stucco, screens, painted wood and older mortar can all be damaged by a hard jet.

On vinyl the real risk is not the surface at all — it is water forced up behind the panels, into a cavity that does not dry out.

That trapped water is how a cleaning job turns into a rot or mould problem inside the wall, months later, long after whoever did it has gone.

Blasting also only removes what you can see. The growth causing it is still in the surface, which is why a pressure-washed wall greens up again so quickly.

Soft washing solves both: low pressure, and a cleaning solution that kills the mould and algae at the root so it stays gone longer than blasting it off would.

Why it lasts longer

High pressure removes what you can see. The organic growth that caused it is still in the surface, which is why a blasted wall greens up again quickly.

Treating it instead of blasting it deals with the cause, and the result typically holds for a noticeably longer stretch.

Our process

How soft washing works

The solution does the work. The pressure stays low from start to finish.

We identify the surface

Vinyl, stucco, EIFS, painted wood and screens each take a different mix and a different dwell time.

We protect the landscaping

Beds and plantings are pre-wet before anything is applied, and rinsed again afterwards.

We apply at low pressure

The solution goes on gently — no jet, nothing forced behind a panel or into a seam.

We let it dwell

It needs time to kill the growth at the root. Rushing this is what makes a wall green up again in months.

We rinse thoroughly

Everything flushed clean, including the windows and the walks below.

We walk it with you

Before we pack up, so anything missed gets handled then.

Questions people ask

What's the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?

Pressure washing uses force to remove what's on the surface. Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to kill the growth causing it. Hard surfaces like concrete want pressure; siding and stucco want the gentler approach.

Is the solution safe around plants and pets?

We pre-wet and rinse the landscaping around the area we're working, which is standard practice. Keep pets inside while we work, same as you would for any yard work.

How long does it last?

Generally longer than a straight pressure wash, because the growth is treated rather than just removed from view.
